Trust in the Lord

Psalm 1 (ESV)
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
Happiness is something everyone wants. We tend to judge happiness is weird ways. Money for example, we think if we had the resources to do what we want we would be happy.
The writer of the Psalm says differently, he claims that happiness is based living and mediating on God’s law.
How can that be? How can living God’s law and mediating on it give us happiness? God’s law helps live the life that works the best. Example Jesus says “Love your neighbor” Imagine a world which we loved each other! How different would become? How happy would we all people if we just loved each other!
The happiness also comes cause it keeps us focused on the greatest prize, eternal life. That in itself boosts my spirit.

Prayer
Glory be to the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and forever will be for eternity.
