Find a quiet place and take time to relax
Psalm 22: 1-2 & 7 - 8 (ESV)
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.
All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; “He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!”
Being mocked is a horrible experience. David, a man who was chosen by God to be king, was mocked for his faith. He trusted in God and had many blessings because of his faith. He was still mocked by his enemies.
A myth that many people buy into is that being a believer means you are going to live a good life if you are faithful. Everyone will have rough patches in their lives, Jesus the son of God was brutally murdered and he did not do anything wrong. What is true is that believers in God will handle the rough patches better than nonbelievers. For their hope and faith is not on man but on the Living God.
